Supporting Persons Without Documents and Fighting Wholesale Deportation

Today's Protest at David L. Moss Correction Center

Our protest this afternoon was a warm-up for things to come. We asked that Rapid Response Teams 1 and 2 lead the way, and twenty protesters joined the action. The turnout was sufficiently robust to suggest future success. Rev. Prose led off with a call to action and we proclaimed the names of all who have been detained under ICE auspices in the last several days. We are asking Rapid Response Teams 3 and 4 to take the lead next Friday, May 2  at noon so that we continue to build out our efforts and gain strength and experience.

All are invited to attend, including those who came this afternoon, along with Rapid Response Teams 5 and 6 (who have not yet been officially called). If you plan to join us, please convene at the front entrance of the Brady Theater at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. We'll distribute T-shirts and bull horns, and take the short walk to the front of the jail. Please help us grow our protests.
