Supporting Persons Without Documents and Fighting Wholesale Deportation

JOIN Us Every Friday!

Since the spring of 2016, members of the New Sanctuary Network community have gathered each week to protest the role of the Tulsa County Sherrif’s Office as a partner with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). We have never missed a week since our inaugural protest after the last presidential election.

Our practice is to gather at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center at noon each Friday. The Center is located at the corner of Denver and Brady, just north of the BOK Center. Ample parking is available in the Center lot.

Our protest consists of a liturgy of outrage and hope. Re-written every two months, the script makes use of music and words to describe the assault against persons without documents and our hope that the deportation nightmare will end. We frankly acknowledge the limits of our power and the symbolic nature of our protest.

If you’d like to be reminded of our protests each week, please fill out an Intake Form on this website and hit the Send button. We’ll be glad to add you to the list.
